Sonlight serves Costa Mesa from Eastside and Mesa Verde through College Park, the Westside and South Coast Metro. Costa Mesa is unusual for Orange County in two ways: it drinks entirely local water, and it holds one of the county's better concentrations of mid-century modern housing.
Mesa Water District runs on one hundred percent local Orange County Basin groundwater, with no imported Metropolitan supply blended in. Those panes are slow and expensive to replace and the original sightline is part of what the house is: no impact loads, no cold water on sun-baked glass, chemistry kept off aged aluminum. Costa Mesa also sits close enough to the water for a genuine marine layer and light salt, and close enough to the 405 and 55 for oil-bound corridor film on the freeway-facing elevations.
