Window Cleaning Cost in Albuquerque (2026 Pricing Guide)
Most published pricing for this trade is a range wide enough to be useless, quoted by somebody who has never worked in the market. What follows is an honest account of what actually moves an Albuquerque window cleaning quote from one end of the market to the other, drawn from the jobs we have completed here.
One caveat up front, because it matters for how much weight to put on any local claim. Sonlight opened in New Mexico at the end of June 2026. This is drawn from the completed jobs since then, not from decades of local history.

Quick answer
The biggest single driver of an Albuquerque window cleaning quote is access, not how many windows you have. Whether the glass needs a wash or mineral restoration is the second. Our instant quote prices your property individually and returns an exact, bookable number in about 30 seconds.
What Albuquerque Homes Actually Pay
Albuquerque jobs cluster into three profiles. Smaller homes and condos, one story with roughly 10 to 18 openings and ground-level access all the way round, sit at the affordable end; townhomes and patio homes in the Northeast Heights and along the river are typical, and most exterior-only jobs land here regardless of house size. The typical Albuquerque house, a standard two-story production home in Ventana Ranch, Volcano Cliffs or Tanoan, cleaned interior and exterior with screens off and hand-washed and tracks cleared, makes up the middle of the market. Larger and harder-to-reach properties, custom homes in the Sandia foothills and along the escarpment with high entry glass, clerestory runs, or sections needing a ladder set on a slope rather than a pole from flat ground, sit at the top, and it is access rather than window count that puts a job there.
Rather than publish a chart that cannot know which profile your home fits, we quote the property itself. The instant quote asks about your house and returns a real, bookable price.

The Five Things That Move a Quote
Access, not window count
This is the single biggest variable and it surprises people. Twenty windows a technician can reach from the ground costs less than twelve that need a ladder repositioned on uneven decomposed granite. Foothills lots that step down the slope are the clearest example: the same floor plan on a flat lot in Rio Rancho prices lower.
Whether the glass needs washing or restoring
A wash removes what is sitting on the glass. Restoration removes mineral that has bonded to it, and it is a different service at a different price. Evaporative cooler bleed and well-water irrigation put a lot of Albuquerque glass in the second category, and no honest quote treats them as the same job.
Interior or exterior only
Exterior only costs meaningfully less than in-and-out, because the interior half carries the furniture moving, the drop cloths, the screens and the tracks. If the inside genuinely does not need doing, say so and the price should reflect it.
Screens and tracks
We take screens off the frame and hand-wash them, and clear tracks dry before any water touches the window, both included. Spring wind here abrades screen mesh and drives grit into the spline, so re-screening does come up more often in New Mexico than it does in Colorado. That is a separate quoted item and it should never appear as a surprise on the invoice.
Frequency
Recurring work prices lower per visit than a one-off, because there is less on the glass each time and the crew already knows the property. A house on a twice-yearly rhythm is a cheaper visit than the same house seen once every three years, which is close to a restoration by the time we get there.
How Albuquerque Compares to the Rest of the Metro
Santa Fe runs slightly higher than Albuquerque. That is not a city surcharge. It is housing stock: more custom homes, more flat roofs with parapets and canales that complicate access, and a lot of glass positioned for the view rather than for the person who has to reach it.
Rio Rancho comes in a little below Albuquerque, because the production housing there is newer, more uniform and overwhelmingly on flat lots. Los Lunas and Bernalillo sit in similar territory.
The spread across the whole New Mexico operation is narrower than you might expect. Most homes here are genuinely similar to price. It is the foothills and the custom builds that stretch the top end.
Two Things That Should Never Be Inside a Flat Price
Hard water restoration. Removing bonded mineral is not washing, it is a separate process with its own labour and materials, and anybody folding it silently into a cleaning price is either not doing it or not telling you what the cleaning would otherwise have cost. It should be identified, tested and quoted on its own line.
Screen repair. Spring wind here is hard on mesh and spline, and re-screening comes up regularly. Washing screens is included. Rebuilding one is not, and you should hear about it before the work happens rather than see it on the invoice afterwards.

Common Questions
How much does window cleaning cost in Albuquerque?
It depends on the property: how many openings it has, whether you want interior and exterior or exterior only, how the crew reaches the glass, and whether the glass needs a wash or mineral restoration. We quote each property individually rather than off a rate card, so the price already includes whatever your home actually needs. The instant quote on our website returns the exact, bookable number for your address in about 30 seconds.
Why is my quote higher than I expected?
Almost always access. A two-story home where the back elevation steps down a slope, or one with a high entry glass wall or a clerestory run, takes materially longer and needs different equipment than the same window count reachable from flat ground. The second most common reason is that the glass needs mineral restoration rather than a wash, which is a different service.
Is Albuquerque cheaper than Denver?
Albuquerque generally sits below both. That reflects a smaller average home and easier average access rather than a different standard of work, and the crews, the process and the guarantee are the same.
Do you charge by the window or by the job?
By the job. Per-window pricing sounds transparent and behaves badly, because it prices a ground-floor slider and a second-story window over a stairwell identically when one takes four times as long. We quote the property.
Does hard water damage change the price?
It can, and it should be identified before you book rather than after. Removing bonded mineral is a restoration process with its own labour and materials, and on badly affected glass it can approach the cost of the cleaning itself. We test an inconspicuous section first and tell you plainly whether the marks will come out, partially come out, or not come out at all, because on glass that is genuinely etched no amount of spending fixes it.
How long has Sonlight worked in Albuquerque?
Since June 2026. Sonlight has cleaned windows on Colorado's Front Range since 1978 and opened its New Mexico operation in 2026, so the local job history here is measured in weeks rather than decades. Our Albuquerque quotes come from pricing New Mexico properties on their own terms, not from Colorado numbers relabelled.
