Sonlight Window Cleaning (“Sonlight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates sonlightwindow.com and provides residential and commercial window-cleaning services across Colorado's Front Range. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Colorado law.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Identifiers and contact info — name, phone number, email address, service address (street, city, ZIP).
• Service details — the home or property attributes you share with us (square footage, number of windows, add-on services), photos you upload, scheduling preferences, and past job history.
• Payment information — when you pay an invoice, card and bank details are collected and processed by our payment processor (Square). We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Communications — the content of SMS, email, and phone calls you exchange with us, including call recordings made for quality and training purposes (where permitted by law).
• Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, UTM tags, approximate location derived from IP, and interactions with our site, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
• Marketing identifiers — if you click an ad on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or Google, we may receive an ad click ID, lead-form submission, and standard advertising identifiers from those platforms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Generate and send you a quote.
• Schedule, perform, and follow up on services.
• Send appointment reminders, receipts, and service updates by SMS or email.
• Process payments and maintain accounting records.
• Respond to questions, complaints, and support requests.
• Improve our website, quote engine, and dispatch system.
• Show you relevant ads and measure ad performance on Meta, Google, and similar platforms (you can opt out — see Section 6).
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only with the following recipients, and only to the extent reasonably necessary:

• Service providers — Square (payments), Twilio & Telnyx (SMS & voice), SendGrid (email), Cloudflare (hosting/CDN), Google Maps (geocoding), and similar vendors that help us operate the business under written contracts.
• Advertising partners — Meta and Google receive limited information (e.g., that you submitted a lead, the estimated value of a quote) for ad measurement and optimization.
• Our crew — the technicians assigned to your job receive your name, address, phone number, and job details so they can perform the service.
• Legal authorities — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some of the advertising-platform sharing described above may qualify as “sale” or “targeted advertising” under the Colorado Privacy Act. You can opt out at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Opt Out.”

4. Cookies and Tracking

Our site uses cookies, pixels, and local storage to remember your preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising. This includes the Meta Pixel and Google tags. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect site functionality. We honor browser-level opt-out signals (Global Privacy Control) for Colorado residents as required by law.

5. SMS and Call Recording

By providing your phone number on our quote form or via text, you consent to receive transactional and promotional SMS messages from Sonlight at that number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. We may record incoming and outgoing calls for quality assurance and training, in accordance with Colorado's one-party consent law (C.R.S. § 18-9-303).

6. Your Rights Under the Colorado Privacy Act

If you are a Colorado resident, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

• Right to access — confirm whether we process your data and request a copy.
• Right to correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information.
• Right to delete — ask us to delete your personal data (subject to legal exceptions, e.g., tax records).
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Right to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling activities.
• Right to appeal — if we decline a request, you can appeal that decision and, if still dissatisfied, file a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov/file-complaint.

We keep customer records for as long as you remain an active customer and for up to seven years after your last service to comply with tax, accounting, and warranty obligations. Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Call recordings are retained for up to two years.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Out-of-State and International Visitors

Sonlight operates exclusively in Colorado. If you visit our site from outside Colorado or the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.
